DiveAlert Plus
DiveAlert PLUS is a specially designed, small, light weight pneumatic signaling device that uses quick-connect/disconnect hose couplings to become an integrated part of your power inflator. Installation is easy and takes only a moment.

Why have DiveAlert PLUS?
What would you do in a diving emergency if you needed to get the attention of someone else? Above or below the water’s surface!
Before DiveAlert SCUBA divers had relied on whistles or a SMB (surface marker buoy) as their only signaling devices in such an emergency.  But if the diver is disabled and can’t blow into a whistle (or deploy the SMB) the whistle makes no sound at all.  Or if the boat operator is not looking in the direction of a diver with a SMB deployed (IF the diver was able to even deploy the SMB) the diver goes un-noticed.

Or, what would you do if you wanted the attention of your dive buddy, for whatever reason, and he was simply distracted and not paying attention to you at that very moment? Traditionally, you would be forced to swim up to him or her until you got their attention.
In contrast, DiveAlert PLUS enables divers at the mere touch of a button to generate a loud blast of sound on the surface that can be heard up to a mile away! Or, by switching the DiveAlert PLUS diverter valve for subsurface signaling the diver can now signal for his dive buddy’s attention underwater!

DiveAlert PLUS does not require any modification of your other equipment, and it does not interfere with the normal operation of your other equipment.

When you need to get someone’s attention on the water’s surface, you simply select “AIR” operation with your diverter valve, press the button and DiveAlert PLUS uses a small amount of air from your SCUBA tank to make a piercingly loud sound.

Or, when you want to get someone’s attention under the water’s surface, you simply select “H2O” operation with your diverter valve, press the button and DiveAlert PLUS uses a small amount of air from your SCUBA tank to make a percussion noise to alert your dive buddy.

Effective Air Horn

DiveAlert Plus uses a small amount of air from your SCUBA tank to make a piercingly loud sound in air or water. People have been able to hear a DiveAlert Plus one mile away from diver in need above water. In conditions where visibility is limited, a DiveAlert can a life saver. Underwater you can sound for attention quickly with the press of a button.

Percussion Underwater Horn

DiveAlert Plus uses a small amount of air from your SCUBA tank to activate a nylon piston that hits a diapham sending out a sound that travels extremely well underwater. Get the attention of your dive team immediately underwater.

Models Available

DiveAlert Plus does not require any modification to your equipment, and it does not interfere in any way with the normal operation of your equipment. The DiveAlert Plus comes in three different models to accomodate different connectors.

DP1 - All Standard Inflators
DP2 - SeaQuest AirSource 1&2, Zeagle OctoPlus,
Oceanic Air XS & MARES AirControl
And Now: New AirSource 3 QD
DP3 - ScubaPro Air 2, Tusa Duo-Air Atomic SS1,
           Sherwood Gemini & Zeagle Octo-Z

Easy to Use Design

DiveAlert does not require any modification of your other equipment, and it does not interfere in any way with the normal operation of your other equipment. To select surface signaling, move the diverter valve up to the “AIR” graphic. To select subsurface / underwater signaling, move the diverter valve down to the “H2O” graphic.

Low Maintenence

After each use, DiveAlert Plus should be rinsed with fresh water. This is especially important after use in chlorinated swimming pools and in other water having corrosive substances. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you blow the water out of DiveAlert Plus before storing. This can be done by pressurizing and activating both the surface and subsurface signaling elements. We recommend that you cup your hand over the surface signaling element to muffle the loud noise.

How it Works

The DiveAlert Plus uses chrome-plated brass couplings to attach to your power inflator. The activator button engages a chrome-plated brass actuator valve stem causing a small amount of air to flutter a stainless steel diaphragm, emitting a piercingly loud sound from the injection-molded thermoplastic body. The subsurface / underwater signal is produced by a percussion "buzzing" noise made by a piston hitting a stainless steel diaphragm much like a drum.
