DiveAlertPLUS is a specially designed, small, light weight pneumatic signaling device that uses quick-connect/disconnect hose couplings to become an integrated part of your power inflator. Installation is easy and takes only a moment.

DiveAlertPLUS uses a small amount of air from your SCUBA tank to make a piercingly loud sound in air or water. People have been able to hear a DiveAlertPLUS one mile away from diver in need above water. In conditions where visibility is limited, a DiveAlertPLUS can a life saver. Underwater you can sound for attention quickly with the press of a button.

Maintenence

After each use, DiveAlertPLUS should be rinsed with fresh water. This is especially important after use in chlorinated swimming pools and in other water having corrosive substances. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you blow the water out of DiveAlertPLUS before storing. This can be done by pressurizing and activating both the surface and subsurface signaling elements. We recommend that you cup your hand over the surface signaling element to muffle the loud noise.

One-Year Limited Warranty

Ideations design, Inc., warrants DiveAlertPLUS to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase from an author-ized DiveAlertPLUS dealer. If any functional defects appear in a DiveAlertPLUS unit within the one-year warranty period, the unit will be either repaired or replaced at the option of Ideations design, Inc.

DiveAlertPLUS does not require any modification to your equipment, and it does not interfere with the normal operation of your equipment. The DiveAlertPLUS comes in three different models to accommodate different connectors: DV1, DV2, and DV3.

 

EASY TO USE DESIGN

Once the tank is turned on and the DiveAlertPLUS connected, squeeze the DiveAlertPLUS softly underwater for a subsurface signal. Or squeeze it firmly on the surface for a loud surface signal blast. Check that DiveAlertPLUS is installed correctly and functioning properly before every dive. Also be careful not to point DiveAlertPLUS toward yourself or toward anyone who is in close proximity to you when you activate the surface signal (it’s really loud!).

 

HOW IT WORKS

The DiveAlertPLUS uses chrome-plated brass couplings to attach to your power inflator. The activator button engages a chrome-plated brass actuator valve stem causing a small amount of air to flutter a stainless steel diaphragm, emitting a piercingly loud sound from the injection-molded thermoplastic body. The subsurface / underwater signal is produced by a percussion "buzzing" noise made by a piston hitting a stainless steel diaphragm much like a drum.

Make sure that before every dive you check that DiveAlert is installed correctly and functioning properly. When testing, be careful not to point DiveAlert toward yourself or toward anyone else or loss of hearing could result.

GETTING STARTED

  1. IMPORTANT: Charge your Nautilus Lifeline to 100%.
  2. Download the Lifeline Desktop Software and run.
  3. Connect lifeline to computer using supplied cable. Fill out registration and input MMSI.

 

SIMPLE OPERATION

GREEN BUTTON - Call your dive boat using two way radio. Commun-icate between your Lifeline and any VHF radio in your range on the same channel.

 

ORANGE BUTTON - Call any boat around you on universal Hail and Distress Channel 16.

 

RED BUTTON - Send automatic message alert and your GPS coordinates to all modern radios “digitally” within an 11 mile (18km) range. The Nautilus Lifeline uses LocateMe technology to automatically transmit your GPS position and alert message to any modern VHF radio (EMERGENCY USE ONLY).

The DiveAlert SMB (surface marker buoy) features Closed-Circuit (one-way valve) construction, which prevents air spill at surface. Inflate on the surface to attract visual attention or redundant flotation. Inflate at depth to send up as a surface marker.

Solas reflective tape (Coast Guard approved) across top of SMB creates better visibility day and night. Over-Pressure Valve (OPV) prevents bursting and easy air dumping. 65 inches long x 8 inches wide = approx-imately 40 lbs. of lift. Nylon strap handle on top allows for easy attachment of light or slate. 400 Denier poly-urethane coated nylon material.

DURABLE CONSTRUCTION

Made of 400 Denier polyurethane coated nylon, this SMB will last dive after dive without issue. The nylon strap on the top allows for attachment of a light of slate.

 

UTILITY POCKET

The added pocket can be used as an extra container or to add weight for a more stability in rough water.

 

INFLATOR VALVE

Inflation of the SMB can be done in any circumstance. You can inflate the SMB with your BC inflator hose or by mouth.
